Nash Tawfik

Background

Hello, I am Nash, a registered clinical counsellor specialized in attachments, sex therapy and EMDR therapy and I am here to support you. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, each with their own unique experiences and concerns. I’ve addressed a variety of topics, including relationships and attachments, childhood trauma, religious trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, ethical non monogamy, and matters related to sexuality and gender. I am passionate about helping people explore and heal, as well as providing guidance on building healthier relationships—with others and with themselves.

My aim is to create a space where you can truly be yourself—a welcoming, supportive environment free of judgment, where your thoughts, emotions, and concerns can flow openly and naturally. I understand that everyone’s story is unique, and I’m here to meet you exactly where you are, whether you’re weathering the storms of stress, seeking clarity in the face of life’s complexities, or simply longing for a compassionate ear to listen and understand. Together, we’ll unpack these challenges and work toward creating positive change in your life. Through our work, we’ll navigate the emotional terrain of your life, offering not just tools for coping, but a deeper understanding of yourself and the factors that shape your experiences. Whether you are looking to process past traumas, build resilience in the face of current challenges, or simply find a space to explore who you are, I’m here to support you on your journey.

Therapeutic Approach

I view the world through the lenses of emotionally focused and feminist theories. This means in our work together, we’ll explore your experiences and systems and relationships by focusing on your emotions and how they influence your interactions with others. Emotionally focused therapy helps us uncover the deeper feelings that drive behavior, while feminist theory ensures that we recognize and address the societal structures and power dynamics that may be impacting your life. This holistic approach allows us to see the full picture of your emotional landscape and how it connects to your relationships and environment. Think of our sessions as a cozy, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. This is a place where we can chat openly, laugh when the moment calls for it, and work through the challenges that life throws your way. Whether you’re navigating difficult relationships, healing from past wounds, or striving for personal growth, we’re in this together.

I’m here to walk alongside you, providing the support and tools you need to move forward with confidence and clarity. I’m also deeply committed to being trauma-informed, which means I understand that our past experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the world. Trauma, whether big or small, leaves a lasting imprint, influencing how we respond to challenges, relationships, and even our own emotions. I’m here to support you as we navigate this journey, helping you process and heal from past experiences while building a stronger, more resilient future.
